Privacy policy

What FairPrice collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account: your name and email from Google sign-in, and your phone number.
  • What you add: listings, photos, shop details and messages.
  • Your device: a notification token, only if you turn on alerts.
  • Anonymous usage: pages opened, crashes and speed. You can turn this off below.

How we use it

To run FairPrice: show your listings, connect buyers and sellers, send the alerts you choose and keep the service safe. We never sell your data or show ads.

Who can see it

Your listing, shop and contact details are shown as you choose when you post. Messages are seen only by you and the other person. Staff open your data only to review posts and give support. Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) and Google sign-in process data for us.

Your choices

Edit your details in your profile at any time. You can delete your account: your personal data is then erased, and only records others rely on, such as tea statements, stay without your name.

Anonymous analytics

FairPrice uses anonymous analytics to find crashes, slow pages and confusing steps, on the website and in the installed app alike. It is never used for advertising.

What we measure

  • Which pages are opened (never the full address) and in which language.
  • Whether you use the installed app or a browser tab, the type of device (phone, tablet or computer) and its system.
  • Crashes and errors, and how fast pages load.
  • A few key steps: signing in, posting a crop, calling or messaging a seller, sharing, installing the app and turning on alerts.

What we never send

  • Your name, phone number, email or account.
  • What you type, including searches, messages and post text.
  • Post or member identifiers, or exact locations.
  • Anything from staff or support sessions.

Staff and support sessions are never measured.
